Power the phone off, put in a SIM from your new network, power it back on. It asks for a network unlock code — type in the one we sent and the lock is gone.
This is the usual path, and it is the one most handsets take.

Which one does my Google Pixel need?
You do not have to know before you order — the IMEI tells us. But this is the difference, in case you want to understand it first.
The code path
Most handsets have a network unlock prompt built in. When a SIM from a network the phone does not accept goes in, it asks for a code, and the right code clears the lock permanently. It survives software updates and factory resets.
The Remote USB path
Some models have no code prompt at all, so there is no screen to type a code into. Those are finished a different way: you connect the phone to a computer by USB at an agreed time and a technician completes the unlock remotely while you watch — usually in under an hour, and the handset never leaves you.
If your Google Pixel has no code screen, nobody can send you a code for it.
A site offering you one for a handset with no code entry is selling something the phone has no way to accept. Remote USB is the option that exists precisely because that prompt is missing.
What a Remote USB session actually involves
- A time you choose. We book the session with you rather than expecting you to be at a computer when the email arrives.
- A Windows PC or a Mac, and the phone's USB cable. That is the whole equipment list. No specialist hardware and nothing to buy.
- You watch it happen. A technician works through it with you on screen. You can stop at any point.
- Your data stays where it is. The unlock does not wipe the phone. Photos, apps and messages are untouched.
More than phones
Cellular tablets, cellular watches and mobile hotspots all carry their own IMEI, and all are unlocked exactly like a phone.
The one thing to get right is which IMEI you send us. Dial *#06# on the device you want unlocked, or find it in that device's own settings — a watch or tablet has a different IMEI from the phone sitting next to it.
What you will and will not be asked for
- No app to install. Nothing is downloaded to your phone and nothing runs on it.
- No carrier account access. No password, PIN, account number or permission from the account holder — which is why a second-hand or business-account handset is no harder than your own.
- No call to your carrier. You never have to call them, sit in a queue, or meet their eligibility rules first.
- No store visit and no shipping. Keep using the phone normally while the unlock is processed.
All we need is your 15-digit IMEI and an email address to send the result to.
Legal, and your warranty is untouched
Unlocking a phone you own is legal in the United States. The Unlocking Consumer Choice and Wireless Competition Act of 2014 settled that, and the wireless industry's own Consumer Code commits carriers to unlocking eligible devices. The difference is that we are not bound by the conditions a carrier attaches — being mid-contract or still paying the handset off does not stop us.
Neither path is a root, a custom ROM or modified firmware. Nothing is flashed and the bootloader is not touched, so a warranty inspection or a trade-in check has no change to find.
Locked because there is a balance on the account?
Carriers refuse to unlock a phone while there is an unpaid bill, an active instalment plan, or an account in arrears. That is a rule about your account, not a technical limit on the handset — and it is not a rule that binds us.
What changes
We unlock by IMEI, through the manufacturer's database. We never ask your carrier for permission, so the conditions they attach — handset paid off, six months of service, account in good standing — do not apply to us.
The phone accepts any SIM once it is done, in your country or abroad, and the unlock is permanent. It survives a factory reset and a software update.
What does not change
What you owe is still owed. Unlocking changes which SIM the phone accepts — it does not close your account, cancel an instalment plan, or clear a balance, and your carrier can still pursue the debt.
We will not tell you otherwise. The handset becomes yours to use on any network; the account stays between you and your carrier.
One thing this does not fix: if the IMEI has been reported lost or stolen, the phone is barred from that country's networks and unlocking does not lift the bar. Check the IMEI first.

How do I know which one my Google Pixel needs?

Where do I enter the unlock code on my Google Pixel?

Whether we can unlock yours
Can you unlock it while I am still paying the phone off?
Yes. An outstanding instalment balance or an active contract does not stop us. You still owe the balance to your carrier — unlocking does not cancel the debt — but it no longer stops you using another network.
I bought the phone second-hand and the account was never mine.
That is fine, and it is exactly the case carriers refuse. We do not need the account holder, the account number or any permission from them — only the IMEI.
I do not know which network it is locked to.
Use our IMEI network checker before you order. It reads the carrier off the IMEI, so you are not guessing at the dropdown.
What if the phone is reported lost or stolen?
We do not unlock handsets reported lost or stolen. An unlock removes a carrier lock, not a blacklist report, so a barred IMEI would stay barred anyway. We check this as part of processing your order.
Afterwards
Does it stay unlocked after an update or a factory reset?
Yes, on both paths. The unlock is permanent and is not undone by a software update or by resetting the phone.
Does unlocking affect my warranty or my data?
Neither. This is not a root, a custom ROM or modified firmware — nothing is flashed and the bootloader is not touched, so a warranty inspection has no change to find and your photos, apps and messages are untouched.
